General Information

The Hernando County Law Library provides access to legal materials to all persons interested in researching issues, facts and points of law. The Library is open to the members of the Florida Bar and all residents of Hernando County and the State of Florida. Staff personnel are available to assist patrons in using the materials but cannot give legal advice or do research for you. The Hernando County Law Library does not allow persons to check-out materials. The Hernando County Law Library is located on the Ground Level of the Hernando County Government Building in Room Number 35.

Scope of the Collection

• Reference books such as Florida Statutes, Florida and U.S. cases, Florida Administrative Code, Martin Dale-Hubbell Law Directory and others.
• Self-help books with forms for such legal matters as small claims (claims for under $5000), landlord/tenant remedies, dissolution of marriage (divorce), name change, and other legal forms.
• On-line access to services such as LOIS, Legal Secretary (DISC), Florida Statutes, Laws of Florida and the Florida Constitution.
